Tight Playing In Texas Holdem Will Loose The Thrill Of The Game
Monday, 30 June 2008

If everyone at the Texas holdem poker table is going to play tight then there can be no thrill or interest in the game. The game will be too straight forward, if they play, it means they are better and if they do not play and fold they are not better and in such cases there will be no need for bluffing of odds or mathematics. Or there will be just a less need for mathematics odds and other calculations.

The players will be playing like best friends where all will play like judges of the supreme courts and there will be need for manipulation in the Texas holdem.  However, this is something that never happens in Texas holdem or in any game of poker, because every form of poker is manipulation.

Players will trade their stakes back and forth in bets in fast and slow plays where in the most cases the player that wins will be the one that had learnt to manipulate around the corner.  Also something that is very true about Texas holdem is that there is no long run wins in this game.  No best player does win constantly and continuously.  The better holdem player is one that will lose less, but will win more, and of course these players know when to start betting high and when to stop playing.  They have a pre-determined upper and lower limit.

If everyone in the Texas holdem is going to play the same way there cannot be any winning, there can be winning, but the size of the pot will be less attractive and the players might loose interested.  Any player that does play differently; yet, skillfully than the rest of the team is the one that has the most edge in the long term Texas holdem carrier.

The basic idea to win in any Texas Holdem table is to play tight in a table of loose players and to play loose in a table of tight players, but it is very important to not let others realize you are doing it with this formula based on opponent nature. When the traffic varies during a Texas holdem poker in a poker room the game might sometimes be tight where there is lot folding and less playing. Though the pot is going to be small it is important that you try to win every small pot possible because every little winning adds up.
